            How Christianity compares with Islam

Dress code: Many Christian women do not comply with biblical standards..“The woman shall not wear that which pertains to a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination to the LORD.”  Deuteronomy 22:5

Muslim women are largely compliant with biblical dress.

Dietary Code: Most Christians ignore the health laws by Moses and have no problem eating pork and shellfish that the Bible calls “an abomination” in Leviticus 11:7-10.

Muslims avoid foods that the Bible calls unclean.

Alcohol: Many Christians believe the Bible allows wine or alcoholic drinks in “moderation” due to New Testament references that suffer in translation and conflict with Proverbs 20:1, “Wine is a mocker; strong drink is raging, and whoever is deceived is not wise.”

The use of alcohol is forbidden in Islam.

Tobacco: Though forbidden by a few denominations, many Christians believe they can be saved smoking. “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." 1 Corinthians 3:16,17.

Tobacco is an abomination to Islam

Modern Music: “Christian rock” and other forms of music blend secular rhythms with biblical words in an unholy union. Converted witch doctors have said it is “calling the evil spirits.”

Western music is part of the great Satan to corrupt Islam

TV Shows, Theater: Often patronized by Christians, though most consider themselves “selective.” They forget “whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report…think on these things.” Philippians 4:8.

Seen as another tool of Satan to corrupt Muslims

Homosexuality: Now openly accepted in many churches some denominations allow gay ministers to be ordained and to perform “marriages” of gay or lesbians partners in opposition to “You shall not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” Leviticus 18:22.

This is an abomination in Islam too.

The above behaviors are not core beliefs found in Christianity, but inroads that Satan has made among Christian churches from their secular society. America’s freedom has permeated its churches with permissiveness and tolerance that's not been good.

Muslims have been more faithful than Christians in many areas, protecting their faith against cultural corruption.

Common Ground: Christianity traces it’s history back to Abraham who is considered “the father of the faithful.” Abraham, Moses and Christ gave true prophecies.

The Quran says Abraham, Moses, Isa were prophets.

Isa never used the name, “Allah,” but he claimed to be his Son and he was a willing and submissive sacrifice as the son of Abraham was when Abraham said, “[Allah] will provide Himself a [sacrifice].” Genesis 22:8.

Islam celebrates that sacrifice as Al-Adha.

Allah approved of the sacrifice and raised Isa from the grave. His disciples were eye witnesses to His ascension to heaven and this transformed them from a group of cowards who ran at his trial to bold men who were willing to die for the truth.

Eyewitnesses and written accounts by Matthew, Mark, Luke, John are evidence strong enough for a court of law. Believing that Isa died as Al-Adha for our sins and that Allah accepts us in him brings peace, love and joy.
We do not have to earn Paradise. It’s a gift.

Believing this causes gratitude that Allah has made every provision necessary for our salvation. Our response is the same if we re Muslims, Christians, or Jews who accept their Messiah--our hearts are filled with His Spirit of love.

We respond with love for all whom Allah gave his son (like Abraham) to reconcile. We love our brothers in Islam Christians though they seem a part of the Great Satan, and Jews whom we have misunderstood from Abraham’s day.

We want to know more of Allah’s will as recorded in the Quran and Bible. Christians should consider Bible truth that's consistent with Islam www.Bible1.netfirms.com

Muslims should consider truths from the Quran that are also in the Bible. Visit www.Quran4Life.netfirms.com
